Michael Treadwell Scholarship
- Established in 2000 to honour the late Professor Michael Treadwell, one of the earliest members of Trent University’s Department of English Literature, a noted scholar and bibliographer in the field of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century English literature, and a devoted friend to his many undergraduate students.
- Awarded every four years to an entering student of exceptionally high academic achievement and promise intending to major in the humanities.
- This scholarship is renewed in each of the succeeding three years of study providing that an academic average of at least 80% is maintained in five Trent University credits in each academic year.
- Value of scholarship is $4,500. Awarded for the first time for the 2005–2006 academic year and at four-year intervals thereafter.
- The winner will be selected by the Department of English Literature.
- This scholarship will be next offered to students entering in the September 2025 academic year.
