Political science aims at the scientific analysis of the “political” in all of its facets. In particular, the course of study focuses on various forms of government, political institutions, and leadership structures, as well as their social and economic foundations and the values on which they are based.
Owing to the methods applied and the questions dealt with in political science, the field has many points of contact with other disciplines, e.g., law, economics, history, sociology, and philosophy.
