The goal of the degree program is to prepare students for a career as a secondary-school chemistry teacher. The chemistry teacher must be capable of conveying the foundations and recent findings of chemistry at a level of abstraction appropriate to secondary school students and providing them insight into the significance of chemistry for everyday life.
