The first semester focuses on the analysis and numeric approach to partial differential equations.
Students have to choose modules from one of the following specializations: algebra, geometry, and discrete structures; analysis and stochastics; numerical mathematics, optimization, modeling, and simulation. Furthermore, students also choose a nonmathematical minor, e.g. physics, biology, computer science.
