Electronic engineering technologists assist in the design, programming, manufacture, and operation of electrical/electronic control systems.
They “design” and “troubleshoot” systems to ensure efficient process operations and perform system programming functions.
Students will gain skills and knowledge across multiple aspects of industrial automation including fundamental electrical analysis, industrial wiring, motor control, and automation principles.
Students will also learn to design automation and systems that are safe to operate, eliminate repetitive operator work, in order to manufacture quality products.
This program will appeal to students with a strong background in the physical sciences and math. Students should be highly motivated problem solvers with good communication and interpersonal skills.
