Abstract, realism, non-objective, figurative, contemporary: you will be exposed to diverse, modern approaches to drawing and painting and will create many pieces within these styles.
Learn fundamental skills such as how to stretch canvas as well as colour mixing techniques. Our program is designed to provide those with basic to intermediate skills the training and experience needed to move to a more advanced level of studio practice.
Examine the many creative possibilities of oil, acrylic and watercolour media in a modern studio environment filled with bright, natural light. Sessions with life models will assist you in developing your drawing and painting abilities. Work in a large studio that is designed to provide an optimum experience and is well-equipped with easels and a variety of drawing boards.
Equivalent to two semesters of full-time study, our intensive 15-week certificate programs provide over 600 hours of hands-on studio time. Each week you will work alongside a different faculty member who brings their unique perspective and expertise within the discipline to the studio.
