Digital (Image) Design is a laptop-based program that explores the creative process at the intersection of digital printing, visual arts, and design. Images and objects are everywhere—providing information, entertainment and sensation in our fast-paced contemporary world.
In this program, you'll be introduced to a broad range of digital tools and techniques that will allow you to create images and objects for output to both screen and print media, while utilizing both software and traditional art + design mediums.
You'll investigate a variety of subject matter using design elements and principles and gain an understanding of contemporary approaches to art and design processes in order to begin to develop your own creative content.
Assessment of the form and content of visual images and objects will assist in the development of your critical thinking skills and lead to increased appreciation of contemporary issues in both art and design. It will enable you to assess and reflect on both your own work and that of others working in the field.
